Marking a Sabbatical

Sabbaticals are that block of time when one is suspended in the air for just a moment, in which turning any direction is possible. All views can be considered. The path can go anywhere from here. All that has been can rest in gratitude for lessons learned and grace received. What needs to be released can be released, and curiosity about the possibilities ahead can be explored. What a gift to have a coaching client who wanted to do that reflection through the Tabiji Eggshell process. It was a lovely blend of coaching, expressing with color, reflection, writing and sweet silence. After she did the last step, she stared into her box, completely entranced by her eggshells. It was clear something sacred was happening. We were silent together for a while and it became clear that there was no longer any need for me to be present. Not wanting to interrupt what was happening for her, I whispered that I’d email her later and to stay in the place she was in as long as she wanted to. Then I quietly signed out and shut my computer. I’ve never ended a session that way before or since. It was amazing to bear witness to.
