Poetry Reading: Monterey Park Candlelight Vigil

Unite. Honor. Reflect. It’s almost been a year since the tragic events of January 21, 2023. Monterey Park continues to grieve and find its way forward, as do the surrounding communities of the San Gabriel Valley.

A Candlelight Vigil will be held on the Monterey Park City Hall front lawn on Sunday January 21, 6pm. I will be offering a reading of my poem, “Dance With Me”, as part of the evening and am honored it can have a role in the healing of the city. Let’s come together in community to honor both our grief and our resilience. Let’s take a stand for hope. Please join me for this time of remembrance and reflection. Dress warm!
