It’s time for Soul Shelter to have a mascot!
Meet Matilda, the Wish Fish. Her fins have some serious nicks in them. She’s not pristine. She’s not perfect. She’s been through a lot - and she’s still swimming toward a better future, determined not to give up hope. True to her nature as a Wish Fish, that determination is the wish she carries for us all, calling us to remember that no matter what battles we face, no matter what scars we bear, that we are brave, bold, and beautiful - and that we too can be determined to move forward and speak the truth of our stories.
Matilda is a German name that means “warrior”. Keep fighting the good fight, my friends. You are worth it.
